TECH-EXPERTISE

USER TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION
Involving a technology perspective from the earliest phases of facility design delivers significant advantages. You benefit from working with specialists in IT, telecommunications, audio, video, teleconferencing, networking, building security systems and acoustics. These specialists bring a vital perspective that informs the architectural design, helping to establish the ideal room geometry, ceiling heights, adjacencies, location and sizing of telecomm rooms, and other key elements specific to the project.

Support is provided throughout the process, from initial budgeting to project closeout. We work with you in the earliest stages to design an infrastructure that balances the first costs of construction vs. supporting future technologies and needs, leading to an optimal budget. Likewise, we are there to “hand over the keys” at the end, including final system testing, user training and turnover.

The acoustician’s involvement is also critical to the entire process to ensure an effective work environment. Working as an integral part of the design team, they help to assure the proper acoustical environment, including coordination of the HVAC design, interior finishes and the proper wall partitions, ceilings, doors and windows.  Sound masking systems, if needed, are coordinated with the floor plans, furniture, furnishings, ceiling and other materials early in the process in order to save needless cost and complications later.

By maintaining a technology perspective throughout the entire design process, our final system designs can maximize usability, flexibility and scalability.
