DUQUESNE LIGHT TRAINING AND CONFERENCE CENTER

In 2007, KSBA completed their largest, most comprehensive training facility to date for Duquesne Light Company in Western Pennsylvania.  This 42,000 s.f. facility offers a full range of educational environments for the linemen training program, and includes simulated below- and above-ground environments, a pole barn, outdoor training areas, EPD distribution training areas, dining areas, state-of-the art classrooms, a fitness center and welcoming common spaces.  The center has a conference space with integrated A/V capabilities.  An office area on the second floor houses several corporate administrative departments.

KSBA also designed the adjacent 81,400 s.f. service building for the fleet of service vehicles, for overnight parking, restocking and repairs, with a waste disposal building.  That building also includes 19, 400 s.f. of office space to support that facility. 

This project was developed in conjunction with Community College of Allegheny County.
